Author Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation

 
Deadline for submission of the four-page extended abstract
for inclusion in the SISPAD 2004 proceedings:                                                     June 1, 2004


The final four-page manuscripts are due June 1, 2004, and will be published in the conference proceedings to be distributed at the conference. Manuscripts received after this date will not be published.
  • Your manuscript should not exeed four pages and must meet the format standards given in the sample manuscript (PDF).
  • If possible, please use the given templates for
Word97: instructions_sispad04.doc
LaTeX: instructions_sispad04.tex, sispad.clslayout.eps

Times or Times New Roman is the recommended typeface for the main text using 10-point type. For LaTeX manuscripts use the commands
\usepackage{times} (LaTeX2e) or \documentstyle{times} (LaTeX2.09).
  • The manuscript must not  be paginated. Instead, please mark each page on the backside using a light pencil, with the last name of the first author and with a page number.
  • The printout must be an original copy.  Be sure the final page is clean and can be easily handled without smearing.

Please send the following no later than by June 1, 2004 to the Conference Secretariat:

  •  The camera-ready original of the manuscript.
  • An electronic copy of the manuscript in PDF format. This is required for the CD-ROM electronic version of the proceedings. You may send it to the Conference Secretariat as an e-mail attachment or copied on a floppy disk.

Oral presentations:


Presentations are limited to 20 minutes for contributed papers and 45 minutes for plenary speakers, including 5 minutes for questions and answers. Standard audiovisual equipment, including beamer, notebook, overhead projector, screen, microphone and pointer will be provided in each session room.
You may also use your personal laptop for the presentation.
Authors who do not wish to bring their own notebook should bring their presentation on a CD-ROM.
Powerpoint presentation is possible, but we strongly recommend to format the presentation in *.pdf.
Authors should meet their chairperson in the session room allocated for their talk 10 minutes prior to the start of the session for which their talk is scheduled.

If you have any additional requirements for audiovisual equipment, please complete the audiovisual equipment request form (requestform.pdf), sign it and fax it to the Conference Secretariat by July 31, 2004.


Posters:
  • Posters should be mounted on Friday, September 3, 2004 no later than 12:30 at the designated area. Poster stands and equipment  for mounting will be provided on site.
